Community Wellbeing Courses
My community wellbeing courses blend professional mental health education with accessible yoga, breathwork and mindfulness. As a qualified lecturer, Scottish Mental Health First Aid instructor, yoga teacher and aromatherapist, I bring a rare combination of evidence-based knowledge and restorative mind–body practices that help people feel calmer, more connected and more confident in everyday life.
These courses are designed for adults in community settings who want to improve their wellbeing, build resilience and feel more supported. They offer a clear, structured approach that helps people notice stress earlier, understand their needs more clearly and develop coping strategies they can use day to day.
Exploring Wellbeing, Building Resilience and Coping Skills
This eight-week programme offers a supportive, uplifting space to explore what wellbeing really means and how to build resilience in everyday life. Each weekly session lasts three hours and blends:
Clear, accessible wellbeing education exploring eight key wellbeing topics
Group discussion and guided reflection
Guided wellbeing journaling to build self-awareness and personal insight
Gentle yoga movement adapted for all levels
Breathwork techniques to support calm and emotional regulation
Optional aromatherapy during relaxation (with qualified aromatherapist)
Mindfulness or guided relaxation practices
Practical take-away tools to apply in daily life
The programme is grounded in two proven wellbeing frameworks. It incorporates the NHS Five Ways to Wellbeing (Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give), which are practical actions that nurture daily wellbeing. It also weaves in the CHIME principles (Connectedness, Hope, Identity, Meaning and Empowerment), widely recognised in mental health recovery for building confidence, purpose and long-term resilience.

Coming Soon: Menopause Yoga & Wellbeing course
6 week programme (Launching Spring 2026)
Launching in Spring 2026, this new six-week menopause wellbeing programme offers a supportive, community-based space for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. Rooted in the Menopause Yoga™ method created by Petra Coveney, it blends gentle yoga, breathwork, evidence-informed menopause education and restorative relaxation.
Each weekly session runs for three hours, giving space for discussion, movement, rest and connection.
